Tenold Transportation has been operating since 1968. At that time, Gar Campbell operated with one truck under the name of A&W Trucking Ltd (“A&W”)
hauling cable for a number of customers. Several of those original customers represent Tenold’s largest customers today.
In the 1970’s, A&W expanded its fleet of trucks and drivers becoming a regional carrier in British Columbia and Alberta. As the transportation
industry in Canada and the US became deregulated, Tenold has experienced a number of milestones in its history:
- 1983 – Acquisition of Tenold Transport of Weyburn SK, which had operations throughout the Prairies
- 1984 – Head office established at current location in Surrey BC

- 1993 – Established terminal in Edmonton AB to better service customers in Alberta
- 1994 – Acquired terminal in Winnipeg MB to better service customers in Manitoba

- 2000 – Acquired terminal in Weyburn SK to better service customers in Saskatchewan
- 2002 – Commencement of bulkhaul business from the Surrey BC terminal, which has since expanded throughout British Columbia and into Alberta
